How To Fire Your Boss

And Finally Quit Your Job

If you’re like I was when I first got started, then chances are pretty high that you are building your business part-time.

It can get kinda overwhelming.

It can also feel downright discouraging

One day you’re feeling total euphoria.

Total determination that you are absolutely on your way to freedom.

The next, overwhelming panic sweats.

You just can’t get past feeling like a complete failure and fraud.

It just doesn’t seem like you are creating any momentum and traction.

You’re riding an emotional roller coaster.

And it’s driving you mad.

First of all, give yourself some grace.

Because how you are feeling is completely normal.

I felt all of those things.

And everything in between.

I built my business part time for years before I was finally able to fire my boss and earn my freedom.

I wasted so much time and took way longer than I had to.

It was like a drunk Carnie fell asleep on their shift and I couldn’t get off the rollercoaster.

I got in my way more than I moved the needle forward.

It got to the point where enough was enough.

I hated my job.

I hated my life.

I couldn’t do the things I wanted.

Hell, I barely could get by.

The frustration built inside me until finally…

I got angry.

And I fueled that anger into determination.

Determination earned my freedom.

Since then?

I have had the honor to help thousands do the same.

Here are a couple

What I have found is that it doesn’t really matter what business model you’re in online.

I have built and helped others build multiple six and seven figure businesses in network marketing, affiliate marketing, agency and coaching & consulting.

The grass isn’t greener on the other side.

The grass is green where you water it.

What matters more is how you approach your business.

It’s about your consistency and your determination.

So here’s what worked for me and has worked for the thousands I have coached to do the same.

Treat Your Business Like A Part-Time Business Not A Sometimes Business.

There is a fundamental difference between part-time and sometimes.

One is deliberate.

The other is not.

A lot of you claim big dreams and goals into the universe….

….only to get around to it when you feel like it.

Or

….when conditions are perfect.

Here’s the rub.

If that’s you, you’re gonna keep waiting.

It’ll lead you down a path to your beta-self.

We all have a lot more inside us and our Otherlife is waiting for us on the other side.

It’s time to step into Alpha

…and be deliberate about your goals.

When you treat your business like a part-time business it means….

You look at your weekly schedule and determine how many hours a week you can commit to your business.

Taking that one step further into now scheduling that time into your calendar.

This is the time that you are committing yourself and your time to moving the needle forward.

The next question most people ask me is….

Well, how many hours do I have to commit each week?

The truth is.

The quantity of hours isn’t what is as important as being consistent with the time you are committing each week.

Meaning…

You don’t put 5 hours one week, 0 hours the week after, 10 hours the week after that and then 2 hours the following week.

It means that if you have 10 hours a week that you can carve out and commit to each week.

That every consecutive week you spend at BARE minimum 10 hours each week.

During that time to focus on…

Income Generating Activities

Freedom requires income.

Income requires you to take action.

We can’t pay our bills with intention.

This is where I see a lot of people staying on that roller coaster a lot longer than they need to be.

Staying in information paralysis.

Staying focused on busy work (like branding and aesthetics).

Trying to figure out every single step of your business from a-z before you take a step…

Ultimately, staying trapped in the BS of your mind.

You cannot think your business into reality.

You create it.

You cannot know all the answers before you take a step.

It requires faith.

But I can promise you one thing.

You cannot get free if you don’t take action.

Each step you take brings you more clarity and allows the universe to respond in turn.

Is every step going to be perfect?

NO!

Most likely far from it, especially in the beginning.

But that’s not what matters.

Because it comes down to…

Skill or Will

No matter what you do in life, you go through the following learning phases.

At first it will feel awkward, then it will feel mechanical and finally it will become natural.

It’s totally okay for you to make mistakes when you are new.

It’s a right of passage.

It’s also the only way you’re ever going to get better.

So you need to ask yourself…

Are my results or lack of results due to a lack of skill or will?

If you’re an Alpha….

It’s probably just a lack of skill.

Skills can be learned.

Learning leads to becoming a natural.

And if you’re like me…

You probably also want to know….

Is there a way to speed up the process?

Is there a way to shorten the learning curve?

Is there a way to improve your skills in a hurry?

If you want to go faster, there is a way!

Find a mentor who has been where you are and accomplished what you are looking to achieve.

Ask questions along the way, don’t suffer in silence.

Find a group of like-minded people who can support and empower you along the way.

If you don’t have any of that, then you don’t need to panic.

I am right here and am more than happy to help you in absolutely every way I can.

Come hang out in my free community.

It’s a blast and an epically supportive place.

Make sure to introduce yourself and let me know how I can help you!

It’s YOUR time!!

  1. Hi Jess
I feel like you are speaking directly to me! I love the phrase ‘the grass is green where you water it’ . I’m adding this to the front cover of my journal.
